Interesting similarities between these two:
Both are redheads.
Both are midgets (4'9" and 5'1"; Owen's taller.)
Both are utter psychopaths.
Both like to use knives.
Both have strange fashion sense.
Both have faces divided in half horizontally.
Both have been known to cannibalize and have been labeled as zombies (although they are quite different. Kuga cannibalizes so she can use the extra material to create weapons, armor, and disguises, whereas Owen cannibalizes because he's hungry and he feels like it.)
Both despise humans in their own way.
edit: Both have screwed up teeth (Owen has a gap; Kuga's got fangs).

They're like two sides of the same coin, really. Kuga's representative of a ghostly emptiness: cold, unfeeling, and utterly ruthless. Owen's the savage decay of emotion: fiery, spontaneous, and especially violent.
